Day 6: Island
I need an island. An island I can teleport to whenever I like. There are no children allowed. In fact, no one is allowed there but me. My own private, instant island. Gone are the sounds of toys clattering, laundry tumbling, dishes washing, children fighting, my husband after stepping on a Lego… In the place of those sounds is serene quiet, disrupted only by the calming waves on the beach or the wind in the trees. I can write and daydream in solitude. Oh, how I need an island!
Sometimes the only island to be had is one in imagination. I like your flash writing.

Thank you! These days, my only island is in my imagination. Life has been very busy for me, and full of blessings, so I shouldn’t complain. But still, I can’t be blamed for dreaming of a quiet island of solitude, just a little, can I?
